Design Internship
Your brain’s a sponge. Not just any sponge, but one of the largest, most porous sponges in the world. Knowledge is water—enriched with minerals galore! If you’re ready to be immersed in a talent pool of enriched creative water, we want your pores!
Idgroup is looking for a creative intern super sponge—for their Pensacola office—that can take the heat of the spotlight. Our competitive internship program will give you the opportunity to get hands on experience in our nationally award-winning creative environment while gaining detailed knowledge around design and visual branding.
What we're looking for someone who:
- has more motivation and ambition than the little engine that could
- has the desire to be the best at what you do
- has a portfolio that's more solid than Iridium—we’d rather see a diverse five of your best examples of work vs. twenty mediocre ones. IE your best logo, website and brochure
- showing how you’ve carried out and developed a consistent visual brand through multiple mediums is a huge plus. IE: creation of a logo, to a stationery suite, to print and web
- wants to experience a creative, face-paced environment in person
- a keen visual eye for layout and design
- has knowledge of Adobe CS5’s basic programs—InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Knowledge of keynote and powerpoint is a plus
- has a basic knowledge of design lingo. IE: Difference between leading and kerning
- basic knowledge of production. IE: difference between CMYK, RGB and PMS
- a minimum of 15-20 hours per week
- photography and presentation skills are a plus
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- work with a national and award-winning branding firm in the historic district of Pensacola, Florida
- obtain actual work and real-life experience for your portfolio and repertoire
- take ideas from sketches to the finished product—anything from logo design to a website to various print and advertising materials
- learn about the in’s and out’s of production—setting up files for press, resizing various mediums for multiple applications, etc.
- be apart of client presentations
- establish relationships with local industry professionals and vendors
